Overview

Logos, trademarks and other artwork remain the property of their respective owners. Material on Iconape is provided for identification, reference and design-resource discovery. Its presence does not imply endorsement, ownership or affiliation.

The fastest route

Send one complete request with the exact Iconape URL and evidence that you are authorised to act. Complete requests are easier to verify and resolve.

02

Send a copyright notice

If you believe material on Iconape infringes a copyright you own or represent, submit a written notice containing all of the following:

  • Your full name, organisation (if applicable), email address and a reliable way to contact you.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list when one notice covers multiple works.
  • The exact URL of each Iconape page or file you want reviewed. A search phrase or homepage link is not enough.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Misrepresenting that material is infringing may create liability. Consider obtaining legal advice if you are unsure whether an exception or permitted use applies.

03

What happens next

We review notices for completeness and may ask for clarification. When a request is valid, we may remove or restrict access to the material and notify the contributor. We may preserve the request and relevant records where necessary to handle the claim, prevent abuse or comply with law.

04

Counter-notice

If your material was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe that removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice. Include the removed material and its former location, your contact details, your consent to the jurisdiction required by applicable law, the required statement under penalty of perjury, and your signature.

A valid counter-notice may be forwarded to the original complainant. Material may be restored when legally permitted unless the complainant tells us that court action has been filed.

05

Repeat infringement and other rights

We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly submit infringing material. Trademark, privacy, impersonation and other concerns can also be sent through the request form; choose the reason that best describes the issue.
